Rhode Island: The Number One Cuddle State!

Yesterday was a grey, rainy day in the Northwest. Sometime after noon, Amy called to ask if I had checked my mail...within, like, the last week. Being a responsible adult, I had not. So, I went to the mailbox and found a very special package waiting for me.

The rest of the afternoon went a little like this:

Man, I'm homesick. I sure do miss Rhode Island.

"Did someone say RHODE ISLAND?"

NO WAY!

SCREEEEEEAAAAMMMMM!!!!

IT'S RHODE ISLAND!!!

Omigod, Rhode Island--We're going to go on so
many adventures, you don't even know!

What kind of adventures, you ask?

WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TEA PARTIES!

Isn't this tea so good, Rhode Island?

Oh, Rhode Island, YOU'RE SO FUNNY!

WE'RE GOING TO DO EACH OTHER'S HAIR!

MAKE OVER, RHODE ISLAND!

We're going to solve mysteries!

We're on the case!

I SAID WE'RE ON THE CASE!

We're going to play cards.

I might cheat a little....

Never mind, those cards are terrible.

Oh my goodness, I have wanted this little felt Rhode Island for almost two years! I was SO excited when I opened the box. Jokes aside, I literally screamed for at least 30-45 seconds. Amy is such an awesome gift giver (and a fantastic friend :) ).

Amy found him in the Etsy shop Felt Like It. His name is "Buddy Rhodes" and he is wonderful. He's beautifully stitched, super cuddly, and--if you didn't notice--100% precious. Now whenever I feel homesick in Seattle, I can cuddle up with Rhode Island on the couch!
